Terms of Use
Last updated 18 October 2026
These terms are the rules for using SeyShare, on the website and in the app. They are written in plain English. By creating an account or using SeyShare, you agree to them.
Who we are
SeyShare is a free giving and sharing platform for Seychelles, operated by SeyWeb Solutions in partnership with Senm Lanmour Community. You can contact us at admin@seywebsolutions.com.
Who can use SeyShare
- You must be 18 or older, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you.
- You need one account of your own. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
- Organisations such as District Authorities, schools, NGOs and businesses can register as partners. The person who registers confirms they are allowed to act for the organisation.
Everything is free
SeyShare is only for giving and receiving items at no cost. You may not sell, swap for money, ask for payment, ask for "transport money" or a deposit, or use SeyShare to advertise a business. If anyone asks you for money, please report them.
What you may not post or do
- Weapons, ammunition, drugs, medicines, alcohol, tobacco, expired or unsafe food, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, or anything else that is illegal or dangerous.
- Sexual, hateful, violent or abusive content, in listings, photos, profiles or messages.
- Scams, false or misleading listings, spam or advertising.
- Harassing, threatening or pretending to be someone else, including SeyShare or its moderators.
- Sharing another person's private information, or photos of people without their permission.
- Trying to break, overload or get around the security of SeyShare.
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members.
Your listings and messages
- Describe items honestly, including any faults, and only give away things that are yours to give.
- You keep ownership of what you post. You allow SeyShare to show it on the platform, and to check it automatically before it appears, so that the platform can work.
- Remove or mark an item as given once it has gone, so people don't ask for things that are no longer available.
Meeting and handing over items
- Agree a public place to meet when you can, tell someone where you are going, and trust your instincts.
- Check an item before you take it. Items are given as they are. SeyShare does not inspect items, and makes no promise about their condition, safety or suitability.
- Arrangements are between the giver and the receiver. SeyShare is not part of them and is not responsible for what happens at a handover.
Moderation
Listings are checked automatically before they appear, any member can report a listing, a message or another member, and our moderators review what is reported. To keep SeyShare safe we may, without notice:
- hide or remove listings, photos or messages that break these terms;
- send a warning;
- suspend or close an account.
If we remove one of your listings you can ask us to look at it again from the notice we send you. You can also block any member so they can no longer message you.
Your privacy
How we collect, use and protect your information is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; see Delete your data.
Responsibility
SeyShare is only a place for members to find each other. Every item is given, exchanged or shared directly between members, at their own risk. SeyShare is never the owner, giver or receiver of an item, and never takes part in a handover.
As far as the law allows, SeyShare and the people and organisations behind it (its owners, founders and developers, SeyWeb Solutions, Senm Lanmour Community, partner organisations, moderators and volunteers) are not responsible in any way for:
- any item given, exchanged or shared, including its condition, safety, ownership or whether it is suitable or legal;
- any loss, damage, injury, illness or cost that comes from an item, a meeting or a handover;
- what members post, say or do, on SeyShare or off it.
SeyShare is provided as it is, free of charge. We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law of Seychelles.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as SeyShare grows. When we make an important change, we will ask you to read and accept the new terms the next time you use SeyShare. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Seychelles.
